Otto Simon is proud to have achieved the RoSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety for five years running, earning us the RoSPA Gold Medal Award. We are also certified for both ISO 9001
and ISO 45001
by Lloyds Registry (UKAS Approved) and validated by Achilles.

Otto Simon is experienced as operating in the roles as Principal Designer and Principal Contractor where applicable.
We can support our clients in a range of safety issues over and above the assurance of completing any works contracted in a safe and controlled manner. Other services offered include:

Process and Functional Safety Services
Where our clients have complex process systems associated with their thermal plant Otto Simon can provide Process and Functional Safety Consultancy to ensure compliance with the latest guidelines including:
- Hazard Identification (Hazard Studies, Hazardous Area Reviews, HAZID Reviews)
- DSEAR Assessments (Explosion Protection Document, Area Classification Drawings)
- Functional Safety Assessments (Quantification of Risk, SIL, LoPA, ALARP demonstrations etc)
- Design Process Safety Reviews (Relief and Blowdown Studies, Alarm Philosophies etc)
- SIF Assessments and SIL calculations
- Creation of Routine Maintenance Procedures (SIL loop proof test procedures, Functional Safety Management Plans)
