Directors

  • Chris Bridgland, Managing Director

    Chris holds a strategic leadership role within Otto Simon, responsible for delivery of services to our clients. Developing and enhancing operational improvement through the development and fusion of our people, processes and technology, Chris ensures that Otto Simon provides integrated mechanisms to effectively and efficiently deliver projects for our customers.


     Chris has a background in Mechanical Engineering as has worked on many EPC and EPCm construction projects across the UK, Europe and Asia. All the projects involved process engineering and the co-ordination and interfacing of engineering activities across different engineering centres.

  • Peter Creer, Technical Director

    Peter is an experienced Process Engineer with specialist knowledge across a range of process technologies including biotechnology, renewable energy, technology integration and process optimisation. Peter has a strong record in record in safety and environmental management, complying with engineering design standards and regulations, and developing and implementing operational safety systems.


    Responsible for leading Otto Simon’s process engineering team, Peter manages technology integration and Otto Simon’s relationships with key technology providers.

  • Paul Cooper, Finance Director

    Paul is a certified chartered accountant with commercial acumen and analytical skills developed in both a large scale city accountancy firm, and a smaller local practice before joining Otto Simon.


    Paul is responsible for all aspects of Otto Simon’s financial structure, control and reporting and is Member of ACCA (UK).

  • Andy King, Engineering Director

    Andy has recenlty been promoted to Engineering Director. Andy is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager with expertise in coordinating multi-discipline project teams in the manufacturing and chemical sectors. 


    As Engineering Director, Andy oversees Otto Simon’s engineering and design teams, handling resource management, recruitment, and ensuring Otto Simon’s projects are delivered to the highest standards. 


Department Managers

  • Darryl Nevitt, Head of Business Development

    Darryl is an experienced Business Development Manager with nearly 30 years’ experience in the Chemical Processing industry. 


    Darryl is responsible for building lasting relationships with Otto Simon’s clients, securing work across our existing sectors, as well as extending our services into innovative markets. Contact Darryl to discuss how Otto Simon can support your business. 


  • Hugh Doble, Head of Construction & Commissioning

    Hugh is an experienced Project Manager and Chartered Mechanical Engineer with a particular expertise in construction and safety management. Hugh has worked across a number of Industries including Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Coke and By-products & Process consultancy. 


    Hugh is responsible for providing construction expertise at all stages of project delivery and managing Otto Simon’s delivery of Construction & Commissioning services. 


  • Clive Mansfield, Hydrogen Portfolio Manager

    Clive is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with significant experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams and overseeing the general management of project engineering and construction. 


    Clive has managed pioneering UK Hydrogen blending and hydrogen fuel switching projects. As the Head of Hydrogen Portfolio, Clive is responsible for the development of the hydrogen business for Otto Simon. 


  • Clare Dunkerley, Head of Consultancy

    Clare is a Principal Safety and Risk Engineer specialising in Process and Functional Safety. She is a TÜV Rheinland  certified FS Engineer. Her professional experience extends to Hazard Studies, DSEAR, ALARP Demonstration, Functional Safety Management, LOPA, and Functional Safety Assessment. She is experienced within the emergent technology, hydrogen, chemical & processing sectors. 


    As Head of Consultancy, Clare manages Otto Simon’s delivery of process and functional safety services.
