Incineration

Hands on experience of design, build and commissioning of sludge incineration
facilities in addition to:

   • Assistance through successful public enquiry
   • IPPC applications
   • Successful application for planning permission
   • Conceptual design
   • Gas cleaning improvements
   • Operational support

2.

Drying

Design, build and commissioning of 5 sludge drying facilities and involvement in numerous other projects. Full knowledge of key issues including: safety, sludge quality and product quality.

Gasification

Significant experience gained through the design, construction and commissioning of a large scale demonstration plant for sewage sludge gasification including extended operation and optimisation of the facility. In addition Otto Simon has significant experience from the application of other pyrolysis and gasification technologies for other feedstocks.

Sludge Handling and Storage

Design, build and commissioning of numerous sludge cake schemes for pumping, conveying and storage.

5.


Liquor Treatment

Development of an activated sludge process for the treatment of high strength ammonia liquors. This includes an industrial scale plant in Holland, basic design for a large municipal STW and the design of a large leachate treatment scheme.
