Steel UK Ltd has appointed Otto Simon to undertake turnkey
responsibility for the design and construction of a new gas flare stack
at their works in Port Talbot. The work will involve Otto Simon in the
detailed design, procurement, construction and setting to work of the
new facilities within an existing, ongoing working environment. Working
closely with TATA operations on site Otto Simon will also be responsible
for the interface and safe tie-in to associated infrastructure
surrounding the plant.

Simon has been awarded a turnkey contract for the complete hot rebuild
of a coke oven complex in Zimbabwe. The project marks a major investment
by the Hwange Coal & Coke Company in the rehabilitation and upgrade
of existing facilities. The work will entail the design, supply of
materials and overall site management of the rebuild. Otto Simon will
deploy a team of specialist site management personnel to train and
supervise a local workforce in the reconstruction work required.
